About Us

Association of Medical Women in India (AMWI), founded in 2003 in New Delhi started with organising academic event like CMEs, conferences and health camps in Delhi NCR region and few locations outside Delhi. Doctors in the association included various specialities like Gynaecologists, Physicians, Dermatologists, Radiologists, Geneticists, Ophthalmologists, Neurologists, Oncologists, Pathologists, Endocrinologists, Microbiologists, ENT. Over the years, AMWI has extended geographies pan india and the membership has now extended to Dentists, Physiotherapists and Dieticians and few members from alternative medicine. Our members are working in unison with other NGOs like ROKO Cancer, BUDS, Sakshi, Project Rescue etc. for providing various facilities in low socio-economic groups of population. AMWI promotes professional fellowship amongst its members and furthers the interest of women. It promotes advancement/research in medical and allied sciences. AMWI is deep rooted in promoting education and healthcare of the community especially in domain of public health, including awareness towards prevention of infectious diseases, in collaboration with other organisations, NGOs, public bodies, government bodies etc.
